MFL - Modern Foreign Languages

Modern Foreign Languages (MFL)

MFL is taught as a timetabled lesson in both Key Stage One and Key Stage two. Our ‘core’

language is French, taught systematically through an innovative course formulated by Language Magnet Ltd. The Language Magnet course enables pupils to develop in all four skill areas of listening, speaking, reading and writing French.

                      French Listening                                                 French Speaking

                       French Reading                                                 French Writing

The Language Magnet course also provides pupils with the opportunity to extend their enjoyment of language learning with the ‘Fun with French at Home” series. The audio sheets use QR Codes (Quick Response Codes) to enable pupils to scan the sheet with a mobile device and hear the language at home that they have learned in the lesson.
