We are willing to administer medicine to pupils, however this can only be medication which has been prescribed by a doctor; we will not administer ‘over-the-counter’ medicines such as cough syrup or Calpol. The medication must also be in either the original bottle or box with dosage instructions on it. We will then require you to complete a short permission form in the office. We want to make every effort to support parents who are unable to come into school to administer necessary medication to their children and hope that you can appreciate the need for the arrangements described. Other than inhalers and epi pens, no medicines are kept in classrooms. Children will be asked to come to the office when they are due to take them.
