Modern Foreign Languages

Our core language is French, taught through an innovative programme across Year 1 to 6 and designed by ‘Language for Life’. It allows pupils to develop the four skill areas of listening, speaking, reading and writing. Pupils also have the opportunity to extend their enjoyment of language learning with the ‘Fun with French at Home” series. The audio sheets use QR Codes (Quick Response Codes) to enable pupils to scan the sheet with a mobile device and hear the language at home that they have learned in the lesson. Pupils are taught through blocked lessons across the year (Y1-6).
