It is important that all items of clothing and personal belongings are clearly labelled with the owner’s name. We will make every reasonable effort to locate lost property but cannot accept responsibility for any loss or damage to items whilst on school property.

The safety and well being of our pupils is a high priority for everyone involved with Castlefort School. It is for this reason that we request that pupils do not wear items of jewellery to school. Pupils with pierced ears may wear one pair of simple studs in their ear lobes only, but these must be removed for any physical activity such as games or swimming. If your child is planning to have their ears pierced it would be advisable that they do this at the start of the summer break, as this would avoid them having to miss out on activities.

We do not allow 'extreme haircuts' for school, this includes tramlines, Mohican cuts and colour-dyed hair.

Technology

Many of today’s young people own at least one item of technology such as mobile phones and iPods. Such equipment is not allowed in school as they are often small and can be easily misplaced or lost. Teachers and other staff cannot be expected to take charge of any such items and the school cannot accept liability for any items brought into school which may become damaged, lost or stolen.

Uniform Grant

Our Family Support Worker is able to help parents/carers towards a school uniform grant through the ‘Walsall Wood Allotment Charity’. We have a strong success rate with securing funding towards school uniform. Please ask our office.

Preloved Uniform

If any parents/carers do have difficulties Castlefort JMI have a Pre-loved Uniform service where donated uniform is given out to parents in need. If parents/carers need support with uniform they can speak to any member of the senior leadership team or the school office.
